Cooking Lessons
INTRODUCTION
Eleni and her mother Chrisoula are ready to teach you some wonderful delicious dishes made with rich Cretan ingredients such as extra virgin olive oil, fresh vegetables, local meats, delicious cheeses, aromatic herbs and a touch of wine. We will also be there to reveal interesting information about the island's herbs, including the healing properties of olive oil and tips on the products we use. After preparing the main course and while we wait for it to be cooked, we start a short tour of the farm and the house of the traditional family.You will discover a magnificent vegetable garden so you can see all the produce in season and enjoy the aromas of the healing herbs. You can also admire the olive groves where you can learn about olive oil production. We will head to the wine cellar for a fun wine tasting from a variety of bouquets, from some of the oldest wines 20 years old to our most recent production. Do not forget to try the local distillate called Tsikoudia or Raki before going through the press. At the end, everyone sit down to try the different dishes we have prepared together, along with good local wine.
